Frozen river expedition to Zangskar. It is very interesting winter activities in Ladakh on Zangskar River. It takes two to three weeks, expedition with the Porter. Best period is the first week of February to End of March. The Zangskar region remain close for seven months due to heavy snow fall and all the roads are closed and the valley get cut with other part of Ladakh.The people of Zanskar used to walk over the frozen river to reach Leh to get there esisary needs during the winter. Now it has become winter sport especially for out sider of the countrys sport and adventur lovers.
